The Los Angeles Lakers are on the road on Saturday to take on the Portland Trail Blazers. The Lakers continue to be banged up as LeBron James will not play in this game alongside the several rotation players who have not even made their debut this season.

Anthony Davis is also listed as questionable with a thumb injury. It appears that he might play but the Lakers have been cautious thus far and it wouldn’t be totally surprising to see the team roll out the Russell Westbrook show in this one.

Without LeBron and AD we are going to see the version of Westbrook that we saw in OKC that scores over 30 points with a triple-double. But will that be enough to get the Lakers back in the win column?

Lakers vs Trail Blazers odds, spread, over/under

According to WynnBET, the Portland Trail Blazers are favored by 5.5 points in this game. Quite frankly, with all of the injuries that the Lakers are suffering this feels like a small number. The Blazers are at home and the Lakers have not been all that great this season.

The Lakers are +195 moneyline underdogs while the Blazers are -230 moneyline favorites. The over/under for the game has been set at 221.5 points.

Lakers vs Trail Blazers prediction

As mentioned, the Los Angeles Lakers have been slightly disappointing this season. Sure, the team is .500 with a 5-5 record this season and that might not seem horrible but their schedule thus far has been one of the easiest in the entire league.

The team has played two actual playoff foes in the Warriors and Suns and lost both of those games. Portland presents another potential playoff foe.

While I still like the Lakers in a playoff series because of the veteran’s ability to flip the switch when that time comes, I do not like them in this game whatsoever, especially with all the injuries that the team is dealing with.

The line simply seems too low and it should be more than a two-shot game. I would think that Portland would be favored by at least 6.5 points. Because I am essentially getting a free point, I am going with the Blazers.

Portland -5.5 and under 221.5 points is the play. Final score prediction is Portland 112, Lakers 104.
