The story from the Los Angeles Lakers’ win:

Malik Monk…

This guy is a virtual steal for the Los Angeles Lakers. Along with Carmelo Anthony, this guy is a key ingredient for this team by putting the ball in the basket. He did it in the preseason and the first few games this season before Vogel started messing with his minutes. In this game, the Lakers would have lost without him.

Lik’ Lik’ put on a show scoring 27 points while shooting a zone-like 10-13 from the field (4-7 from distance!) with 6 rebounds and 3 assists.

The Los Angeles Lakers FINALLY defended the pick and roll!

The Lakers have been bad all season with their pick and roll defense, but all of that changed in overtime. Up until that point Bam Adebayo was killing the Lakers by setting up his teammates, hitting the jumper or banging in layups.

In OT, the Lakers sat on Lowry’s hip and every time he tried to throw an alley-oop, it was stolen by a rotating defensive player.

Duncan Robinson.

It is understood that this is a Miami Heat player but there is something that the staff noticed. Duncan Robinson is scared to death of the Lakers. It has gone back as far as the bubble. If this guy would have had just a bad game, the Lakers would have lost.

  • He missed a wide open layup in the last few minutes of regulation.
  • He missed two free throws in overtime after being fouled on a 3 point shot (He was not fouled folks!).
  • He was so shook on the bench Jimmy Butler had to console him.

He finished 4-16 from the field (3-13 in 3 point shots!) for 12 points. The Heat gave this guy $80 million?
