The Los Angeles Lakers have been disappointing this season and a big reason why is because of the team’s offseason decisions. There are several decisions that Rob Pelinka and co. would likely take back from the offseason.

To be fair, LeBron James a decent amount of time and that absolutely has an impact on the team’s success. However, even with good box score numbers, Russell Westbrook very obviously does not fit with this team, making Anthony Davis (and others) less effective.

That is probably the biggest offseason mistake that the Lakers would take back if they could. With how this team is looking and Westbrook’s massive salary, it is safe to say that the Lakers are better off now (and in the future) without Westbrook.

But that is not the offseason mistake that we are highlighting today. Back in August, I broke down three offseason decisions that Pelinka would end up regretting. There was some pushback in the comment section, with there being a lot of faith in Pelinka’s plan.

One thing is for certain, these Los Angeles Lakers offseason decisions have gotten worse with time.

With the NBA season being about 30% concluded, it is safe to say that we have a decent enough sample size to confirm that these were indeed mistakes made by the Los Angeles Lakers. Let’s dive into them.
