Los Angeles Lakers vs Thunder prediction and betting odds for Friday night
By Jason Reed
The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off of a disappointing loss to the Memphis Grizzlies and do not have much time to sit on it as they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder in the second leg of a road back-to-back.
Just when it seems like the Lakers might pick up some momentum they fall back down to earth. A huge win over the Boston Celtics, with easier opponents in front of them, seemed like the start of a winning streak. Instead, the Lakers are back to level one.
I picked with the Lakers on yesterday’s prediction piece, letting my guard down and trusting them when I have been pretty good at not trusting them all season. What about tonight’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder?
Los Angeles Lakers vs Thunder odds, spread, over/under:
According to WynnBET, the Los Angeles Lakers are five-point favorites on the road in OKC. This makes the Lakers a -190 moneyline favorite while the Thunder are a +170 moneyline underdog.
The over/under for the game has been placed at 218 points.
Los Angeles Lakers vs Thunder prediction:
I cannot get burned by the Lakers two nights in a row and maybe I will because they prove me wrong but I am going against them in this game. I would never bet the Thunder moneyline in this game as they are a bad team and the Lakers still are prone to surprise blowout wins but I do like OKC with the points in this game.
The Lakers traveled after an ugly loss last night and have to suit up again less than 24 hours later. While some teams are built for quick turnarounds, the veteran Lakers are not one of them.
Just because I want to see it happen, I will predict that the Lakers will win, they just won’t cover the five-point spread to the Thunder. I am going with Thunder +5 and under 218 points with a final score prediction of Lakers 110, Thunder 106.
Los Angeles Lakers TV channel:
This is not a nationally televised game so fans in the Los Angeles market can watch the game on Spectrum SportsNet.
Los Angeles Lakers schedule and upcoming games:
The Los Angeles Lakers return home for one game against a lowly Orlando Magic team that the Lakers should absolutely beat (but at this point, can we safely say that about any team in the league?).
After that, the Lakers embark on a three-game road trip that puts them in the Midwest before returning home for a short homestand leading into Christmas.
