The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to right the ship. The team is coming off of some much-needed rest days after losing to the Brooklyn Nets on Christmas Day. The loss to Brooklyn marked the fifth loss in a row for the Lakers, who are now 16-18 as we are nearly halfway through the season.

The Lakers have a great chance to get back into the win column on Tuesday night as they are on the road to take on the Houston Rockets. The Rockets are the worst team in the Western Conference with a 10-24 record.

Perhaps this game could give the Lakers an up-close look at John Wall, who is not playing but could chat up LeBron James. Some fans want to see the Los Angeles Lakers trade Russell Westbrook at any cost, which might be a John Wall trade. However, a Wall trade would be awful for the Lakers.

Right now the Lakers need to be more concerned about winning basketball games than trading Westbrook. Vegas thinks the Lakers should win in this one.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Rockets prediction:

While it is really hard to pick with the Lakers, and they have made me look really foolish in recent games, it is also really hard to pick the Rockets. Just like against the Spurs, which reminder, was a blowout, the Lakers have more talent and should be able to get the job done.

They have to win eventually, right? This team is a mess and it better hope that it starts picking up some momentum and fast as the schedule is getting much rougher down the stretch.

Perhaps that momentum starts against the Rockets. It has to. Losing to the Rockets, although wouldn’t be surprising, would be disgusting for the Lake Show. I am going with Lakers-5 and under 225 points with a final score prediction of Lakers 115, Rockets 104.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Rockets TV channel:

The Lakers have a road back-to-back as they will be in Memphis to take on the Grizzlies tomorrow night. Following that, the Lakers return home to take on the Portland Trail Blazers on New Years Eve.

That is the first of a five-game homestand for the Lakers. They will not have to hit the road again until January 12.
