The Los Angeles Lakers had no choice but to be on their best behavior against the Utah Jazz after putting on one of the most embarrassing performances in the LeBron James era against Denver over the weekend. They lost every quarter scoring-wise and they allowed a guy named Bones Hyland to light them up for 27 points.

Speaking of being lit up over the weekend…

The Los Angeles Lakers were officially put on notice after the Denver Nuggets handed them the worst loss in the history of the two franchises Saturday 133-96. It wasn’t about the outcome of the game, but the fireworks that happened afterward.

First Magic Johnson went to Twitter to let the team know that improvements needed to make in short order…

"“We as Lakers fans can accept being outplayed but we deserve more than a lack of effort and no sense of urgency” “Owner Jeanie Buss, you deserve better.”"

Then Russell Westbrook had a statement that is not considered smart based on how bad he has played this season via ESPN…

"“Magic’s entitled to his opinion. And he’s not here every day. He’s not around us every day. He’s not aware of what’s going on internally with us and trying to figure things out. But I have no response to that. … Like I said, everyone in this world is entitled to their opinion and that’s that.”"

Lake Show Life has always stated that LeBron James is the savviest NBA player in history when it comes to using social media. When he sent this tweet out on Sunday, it was clear that he can read the room better than the highest-paid player on the team.

The Los Angeles Lakers shocked the NBA world by beating the Utah Jazz 101-95 in one of the most important bounce-back games of the season. No one thought the Lake Show would win after this weekend with a dominant defensive performance.

The Lakers snapped a three-game losing streak.

The good from the Los Angeles Lakers’ win:

The first half defense of the Los Angeles Lakers!

I think it’s about time to at least put Magic Johnson on the bench. At least the Lakers will pay attention on defense. They looked like that kid that was trying to act good in church after Grandma caught them messing up (We can all relate to this analysis!). They were all over the Jazz in the first half. The shooters never had a chance to get a look, much less make a shot.

The Jazz only shot 33 percent from the floor and they turned Utah over time and time again. Mike Conley couldn’t even run an offensive set.

  • Bojan Bogdanovic did not score a field goal.
  • Jordan Clarkson did not score a field goal.
  • Michael Conley was smothered…
  • Donovan Mitchell was inefficient.

The Lake Show is running out of excuses here. It’s one thing to say we are missing Anthony Davis in the middle, but to shut down one of the best offenses in the NBA for 24 minutes shows that Magic Johnson is right. The Lakers fans and Ms. Jeanie Buss deserve better.

Russell Westbrook did something folks…

Yes, the staff of Lake Show Life has been all over Russell Westbrook for his turnovers, missed layups and his horrid shooting all over the floor. We even gave Lakers fans a handbook to cope with his bad play for the rest of the season. Nobody has criticized Russell Westbrook more than Ronald Agers.

But at this moment, Russ seemed like he read all of the Lake Show Life post-game reports, saw Ronald Agers’ face on Rudy Gobert’s body and just took all of his two months of frustrations out on poor Rudy.

Yes, Russ got a technical foul for talking trash afterward but his teammates really need to ante up and pay the fine. I mean it’s only right.

Nothing personal Russ…only business.
