The Los Angeles Lakers participated in the second game of their “Grammys Trip” in the sunshine state of Florida. The Lake Show really needed to win this one to gain some momentum to survive some tough upcoming games.

In yet another media misfire by the Los Angeles Lakers, they released a statement on Saturday night that Anthony Davis was questionable to play in this game only to hold him out.

The Miami Heat bullied the Los Angeles Lakers for three quarters and led by as much as 26 points which does not reflect the final score of 113-107.

This was the perfect example of two different games in one basketball matchup. Folks, the staff is not lying, the Lakers were literally getting killed by Miami with some of the worst defense in NBA history. It was so bad, even the Miami Heat announcers were talking trash!

Then the Miami Heat went into a coma and the Lakers went on a furious rally to cut the lead to four points by exploding with a 37-24 run to end the game.

The final nails in the coffin was when…

  • Avery Bradley got caught with an illegal screen on P.J. Tucker (It was a flop!) for a turnover with about a minute to go.
  • Then Talen Horton-Tucker threw the ball over LeBron’s head and the Heat scored immediately afterwards.

The Los Angeles Lakers are below .500 (Like again!) and take on the Brooklyn Nets on national television on Tuesday. Just be thankful that Kevin Durant is injured and pray that Brooklyn is not willing to pay the fine so Kyrie Irving can play in the game.

This Lake Show Life post-game analysis will be different because there will be breakdowns from the first three quarters and the final quarter.

The good from the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss:

LeBron James for the first three quarters (Sarcastically speaking!) :

Okay everyone, let’s all say LeBron James is the G.O.A.T, been in the NBA 19 years and will go down as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer a million times so we can all move on.

Because for the rest of this year, LeBron James will chase stats like Warren Buffet chases money! Why does Lake Show Life say this? Well, LeBron James let go of the rope as soon as it reported that Anthony Davis was sitting out. See, real basketball folks know that in a blowout someone has to lead the team in scoring. James is the “King” at glorifying this fact with a few dunks to get the casuals excited.

Before you press play, take a look at the score and notice this game is a blowout. The next play down, LeBron actually laid the ball up and drew the foul and flexed his muscles. Why is this a sarcastic criticism?

The Los Angeles Lakers were down 20 points while he was practicing poses for the Mr. Olympia bodybuilding contest.

LeBron James finished with 33 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. The staff dedicates these stats to LeBron because he is the only one that cares so he can use analytics to avoid blame.

LeBron James in the final quarter!

LeBron basically destroyed the Miami Heat by drawing fouls and getting to the line for 3 point plays. He flipped on a switch and willed this Lakers team back from total embarrassment. For 36 minutes, it looked like he was going to let go of the rope to send a message that he needed help from AD. In the final quarter, he said screw it, I’m going to try and win this.

If this game goes to overtime, the Lakers would have won because Miami couldn’t stop LeBron James.

Games like these continue to expose dysfunction within this franchise!

Most fans will be clamoring for Frank Vogel to be fired. Guess what? He will get on the plane and coach this train wreck in the next city. Should he be fired? Yes, because you can’t fire everybody. Will he be fired? Nope, because the front office has officially taken over as doing the worst job this season.

The Los Angeles Lakers ride the “Anthony Davis is close to getting back and when he does. everything will be fine!” narrative. All of this to save a dollar and throw Russell Westbrook and Frank Vogel under the bus. Yes, folks…Charles Barkley is right…

The Los Angeles Lakers in the first three quarters: The game ended!

If you were among the fans that watched the game instead of celebrating the Los Angeles Rams victory over the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this is the most truthful part of this post-game report.

The Los Angeles Lakers in the final quarter!

LeBron James, Avery Bradley and Russell Westbrook almost pulled off the same trick they did in Detroit. The Lakers could have played horrible for another 12 minutes but these three players just did not give up.
