Here’s how we’re betting this game:

Lakers vs 76ers Prediction

Just 3-5 in their last eight games and battling for a playoff spot in a loaded Western Conference, the Lakers couldn’t be getting Anthony Davis back at a better time. His presence was felt quickly on the defensive end against Brooklyn as he tallied four blocks and helped the Lakers hold the Nets’ explosive offense to just 96 points.

They’ll need that defensive presence tonight as they try to stop the hottest player in the NBA in Joel Embiid. Over his last 15 games, Embiid is averaging 34.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game while shooting 55.9% from the field and 38.8% from outside. The 76ers are tied for 2nd in the league in net rating (8.9) over that span with an offensive rating that would rank ninth all-time over a full season (116.5) .

Not to be outdone, LeBron James has dominated his last 15 games as well. With 32.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game on 53.1% shooting, even in his 19th season LeBron has shown he’s still among the very best in the NBA.

Despite his heroics, the Lakers have posted a net rating of just 1.0 because of a leaky defense. I fully expect Anthony Davis to help the defense, but while he’s on a minutes restriction it’ll be difficult to fix everything overnight.

Up against a 76ers team that is 12-3 during Embiid’s tear, I think the Lakers are a bit overmatched until they can get a full game’s worth of minutes from Davis. I’m taking the 76ers -2.5 (-110) as my best bet while Embiid continues his MVP campaign in the brightest possible spotlight.

Whether you like the 76ers or Lakers or prefer a bet on the over-under, the best odds are +2000. Don’t forget to claim your offer now. Bet $10, Win $200 by signing up for WynnBET now!
