The NBA trade deadline is starting to creep up and with every passing day there is more and more speculation about what the Los Angeles Lakers are going to do. The Lakers have been the most disappointing team in the league and it is clear that the Russell Westbrook experiment has not gone as planned.

Every Laker fan knows that a Westbrook trade is far-fetched, especially since the team is being stubborn in what it is willing to do to trade Westbrook. However, there are other moves that the Lakers can make to try and bolster the rotation and make a run at the NBA Championship.

There is a myriad of trade candidates for the Los Angeles Lakers.

While the Lakers do not have much in terms of trade assets, there is still several different avenues that the team could explore, including ones that we have broken down here at Lake Show Life.

Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report recently broke down three potential trade targets that he thinks the Los Angeles Lakers should pursue this season. There are some recognizable names in Buckley’s list that fans might get excited for if the Lakers do indeed pursue them.

However, there are complexities to what the Lakers do during the trade deadline and not every proposed trade target would be a good decision by the Lakers. We are going to break down the three potential targets that Buckley named (as they all realistically could happen) and decide whether or not the Los Angeles Lakers should pass or pursue.
