Oh, how the NBA can come full circle at times. After everything that happened with Dennis Schroder, from him turning down a four-year, $84 million contract to leaving the Los Angeles Lakers and only getting a one-year deal, he finds himself back in the Lakers rumors.

The Lakers did not make a trade at the trade deadline and instead are turning to the buyout market to make any improvements to the roster. Schroder is a prime candidate for the buyout market as he was traded to the Houston Rockets, who gain nothing from keeping him around for the rest of the year.

Let’s dive into the two key reasons why Dennis Schroder actually makes a lot of sense for the Los Angeles Lakers if he is bought out.
