3 Lakers whose on/off numbers Frank Vogel can no longer ignore
By Jason Reed
The Los Angeles Lakers have been struggling immensely this season and it is clear that something needs to change. The team was unable to get anything done at the deadline and is already losing out on potential buyout targets to other contending teams.
No buyout target is going to have wholesale changes on the Lakers, anyway, and the team needs to adjust what it is doing internally if it wants any chance of actually avoiding the Play-In Tournament, let alone making a playoff run.
Those changes have to come from Frank Vogel. While I fall on the side of being against firing Vogel, he has not done himself any favors with how he has handled the rotation and who he is playing over certain players.
There are certain Lakers with incredible on/off numbers that Frank Vogel can no longer ignore.
On/off numbers do not tell the entire story as there are also other various players on the court but it can help indicate when the team is successful and when the team is not. Most players on the Lakers are in the negative because the team is so bad. However, there are three Lakers with great on/off splits that Vogel needs to heavily lean into down the stretch.
In order from the best on/off splits to the worst, there are the three players that Frank Vogel should be paying more attention to as the Lakers look to gain any kind of momentum.
