After a much-needed break, the Los Angeles Lakers are back in action on Friday as they take on the Los Angeles Clippers. The Lakers need to finish strong over the last 24 games of the season if the team is going to avoid the Play-In Tournament, which does not seem likely.

It has to start in the first game back against a short-handed Clippers team. Even with the Lakers’ struggles, the team still has more talent than the Clippers. It is the point in the season where the Lakers need to win these games.

Lakers injuries vs. Clippers:

  • Anthony Davis OUT (Ankle)

  • Avery Bradley OUT (Ankle)

Lakers vs. Clippers first bold prediction: LeBron James goes off, drops 35+

There are a lot of eyes on LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers with all of the reported tensions between the two sides over the All-Star Break. If there is one thing that we know about LeBron it is that when he wants to make a point, he will.

Whether that point is that he is still one of the best of the league, that he is more important to the Lakers than anyone else in the league can be, or that it is finally time to turn it on, LeBron is going to look to make a point in the first game back.

He is well-rested and has something extra to play for in this game. If that does not have all the makings of being a 35+ point showcase then I do not know what does. This will go down as one of his best games of the season.

The last matchup against the Clippers was not his best work as he scored 23 points in 36 minutes.
