Lakers should give up on this season after humiliating loss to Pelicans

The Los Angeles Lakers welcomed the New Orleans Pelicans to the Crypto.com Arena for the last game of a huge NBA extravaganza spanning four games over the ABC/ESPN networks. To say this was far and away the worst game of the four-game set is a gross understatement. Both teams were sloppy and disinterested at times, but the Los Angeles Lakers played some of the WORST 24 minutes of basketball not from an expansion team.

The Lakers averaged 15 turnovers for the season. Well, they had 16 in the first half alone.

The Los Angeles Lakers fanbase deserve a refund watching their team get lambasted 123-95 to the New Orleans Pelicans. The Lake Show Life staff basically have taken the position of foreshadowing the truth at this point. Need an example? We’ll get to LeBron James in a second, but if anyone thinks that his 32 points made any difference in this game based on his awful defense and overall floor game, there’s some statues in front of the arena that can get sold for $5,000. Just come by and pick them up.

The season is over Lakers fans. Not officially, but in relevance. The real season ends around April 10th, 2022.

Let’s put this in perspective…

Lakers were down 51-40 at halftime. while shooting 3-13 from behind the arc.  Their 16 turnovers led to 17 Pelicans points while giving up four offensive rebounds and 10 free throw attempts. How in the world are the Lakers down just 11 points? Well Melo was one of the reasons.

Scoring 7 points on 3-6 shooting in the first half doesn’t seem like much, but it’s the fact that the man LOOKED like he was trying. He had 3 rebounds with an assist. Watching a Lakers team full of players playing like they are checking the calendar for Cancun, it made him stand out! Let that set in for a second.

He finished with 13 points and 5 rebounds. But the fact that he had four personal fouls shows that he actually tried to play defense.

Dwight Howard…

The only guy that battled on the boards with 11 rebounds. He added 6 points on 3-5 shooting. But Frank Vogel actually put in DeAndre Jordan. Let’s go to exclusive footage of Jordan’s night!
