The story from the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss:

This writer has turned out the light on the season for the Los Angeles Lakers!

It’s over. The Lakers have let go of the rope as this season is over. Sure they might slide into the play-in tournament, but that’s because the Portland Trail Blazers are openly tanking sitting their starting center Jusuf Nurkic with left plantar fascitis. This team does not care, they are not listening to Frank Vogel (Gold star for that one!) and those guys that are on a one-year veteran’s minimum contracts are preparing for next year.

As long as Trevor Ariza is in the starting lineup…good luck to the Lakers winning a game going forward!

The staff of Lake Show Life is done talking about Frank Vogel. His starting lineup sets up the Lakers for failure. (Please stop it with the injuries excise because there’s a rumor that the Chicago Bulls are surviving with more!). Just listen to Gilbert Arenas while he co-signs EVERYTHING this site has stated about this team since…the preseason. Bottom line, if you don’t watch the video, it will show in the comment section if there are excuses for this abomination.

What Gilbert Arenas is trying to say is that the Lakers HAVE TO put in players that can score the basketball! Lake Show Life has said this time and time again, no one cares if LeBron James gets 30 points or more if the rest of the starting lineup can’t score!

  • Trevor Ariza: 11 minutes, 3 points (1-3 shooting!) and a steal. This is borderline aerobics in NBA social media speak.
  • Austin Reaves: 21 minutes, 2 points (1-5 shooting!) and 2 fouls. This must have been a cardio day against the Pelicans.
  • Russell Westbrook had 16 points on 5-15 shooting but who cares? He turned the ball over seven times!

Look for more of the same against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night. By the way, they beat the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night erasing a huge fourth-quarter lead with a ridiculous 26-1 run.

Good luck.
