The Los Angeles Lakers have been incredibly disappointing this season and it has been a massive fall from grace for a team that just won the NBA Championship less than a year and a half ago. Now, it would be legitimately surprising if the Lakers got out of the Play-In Tournament.

There has been plenty of blame thrown around to various different people within the organization. Different fans blame different people for this horrible season and quite frankly, most of the parties do deserve some of the blame for this season.

But who on the Los Angeles Lakers deserves the most blame for this season?

There are five main outlets that deserve blame for this disappointing season. In the following pages, we will rank those outlets from the least amount of blame to the most.

5. Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis deserves the least amount of blame of anyone on this list but he still deserves some blame. While we cannot blame him for getting injured, we can blame his injuries as part of the reason why the Lakers have not been able to get in a rhythm this season.

It would be one thing if these were freak injuries but Davis is starting to show a really concerning track record with his health. Those issues are not going to get any better as he gets into his 30s and there should be legitimate concern about him being the face of the franchise after LeBron James leaves.

If Davis was healthy this season then the Lakers’ regular-season record would be better but they would still have the same fundamental issues that limits their ceiling.
