The story from the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss:

Carmelo Anthony has some heart!

Melo scored 17 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and blocked 2 shots. He did this while playing center in the second half. Why don’t anyone be amazed that Carmelo is in his 19th year. He is just like that dude in the YMCA that strolls into just shoot around and young cats assume he can’t play.

Then they wonder what happened after he walks them like a dog scoring with every move imaginable.

This writer is sick of hearing the Lakers wasting LeBron’s championship window. What about Carmelo Anthony? You don’t think he signed to play center on some night do you?

Speaking of center…

The Los Angeles Lakers allowed Jakob Poetl to smoke them like a pack of Kools!

How did the Lakers lose?

The San Antonio Spurs brutalized the small-ball lineup with switches and gave Poetl the ball at the front of the rim for baskets. Over…and over…and over…

There are a lot of players on the roster that will be off this team in a month. No one is going to kill themselves for Frank Vogel leaning on players that are bigger and stronger than they are. Stanley Johnson, Carmelo Anthony. Talen Horton-Tucker all got a chance to helplessly looking at the Spurs center just lay the ball up for easy baskets.

Yes, Dejounte Murray hurt the Lakers but a tall seven-footer that most fans have never heard of took the Lakers out with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.

The Los Angeles Lakers are as desperate as LeBron James said on Saturday night!

The Lakers are asking for advice about Russell Westbrook from Phil Jackson now? Like really? According to The Athletic’s Bill Oram and Sam Amick, they are…

"Sources say Jackson, the Lakers legend and ex-fiancé of Buss, whose presence at Saturday’s win against Golden State was highlighted by the team’s Twitter account, has been in frequent contact with Buss about team matters all season long. The complicated and often uncomfortable dynamics surrounding the Westbrook situation, in particular, are known to have drawn his interest. As unofficial consultants go, they don’t get much more experienced or credible than Jackson."

The Los Angeles Lakers need to just let the young guys play. They are going to make the play-in tournament but that’s because the Portland Trail Blazers are tanking (allegedly!) and the Spurs really can’t shoot. LeBron James is well on his way to picking and choosing which games he plays for the rest of the season and trust me, the games on Spectrum SportsNet do not appeal to LeBron. Just watch him sit the Rockets game out too.

Hey, but how about the Lakers documentary on HBO Max!
