The Los Angeles Lakers have been incredibly disappointing this season and most fans have given up on the idea of the team making a deep playoff run. While anything could be possible with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, this team has not played well enough to earn the benefit of the doubt.

Right now the Lakers are playing just to secure a spot in the Play-In Tournament and once there, they are going to have to win two do-or-die games in a row. With a daunting road ahead, and the team struggling in recent weeks, the chances of the Lakers missing the playoffs seem greater than the chances of them making it.

The playoffs are not the only thing that some players are playing for, though. With the Lakers being such an old team, there are several players on the roster who are playing for their jobs in the NBA next season.

With a month left, these Lakers need to prove they still deserve an NBA roster spot next season.

How these three Lakers play in the last month may very well determine if they have a job next season. If they show promise then perhaps a team takes a chance on them. If not, we might not see these players in the NBA after their stint with the Lakers.
