2. Mason Jones

Mac McClung is not the leading scorer of the South Bay Lakers with 21.1 points per game and that honor instead goes to Mason Jones, who is tearing it up at the G League level. Jones is averaging 26.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game while shooting 50% from the field and 39.9% from beyond the arc.

Jones is almost a 50/40/90 guy at the G League level. Regardless of the talent level, putting up those kinds of shooting numbers are impressive and indicates that he may have something that translates to the next level.

Jones has also been a positive player on the defensive end that has worked hard as well. Hard work will translate to the league and with his athleticism and work ethic on the defensive end, he can be better defensively than most players on the Lakers right now.

The former Arkansas Razorback has a good chance of being in the rotation next season as he is currently on a two-way deal with the Lakers. Jones has already made his debut with the Lakers as well, appearing in one game this season.

His NBA debut came during the 2020-21 season, where he played a combined 32 games for the Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers.
