This disappointing Los Angeles Lakers season is almost over as the team has 10 more games left in the regular season. Granted, there is still some hope as the Lakers could theoretically make a run after the play-in, but that seems extremely unlikely.

This has been one of the worst seasons in Lakers franchise history. While there have certainly been worse teams over the years, when we consider the expectations, this just may be the worse. The Lakers were the title-favorites in the Western Conference before the year.

There are a lot of problems with the Lakers team and one of them is a lack of talent. Because the team took on Russell Westbrook’s contract, they had to almost exclusively bring in veteran minimum players. Very few of those players have played well this season.

Some of the Los Angeles Lakers role players could end up retiring after the season.

The Lakers are such an old team that it would not be all that surprising if there were multiple players from this roster that are not in the NBA next season. Father time is undefeated and these players may finally tap out after the 2021-22 season.

Maybe they hold on so they do not have to go out on such a sour note, or maybe this sour note is what convinces them to hang it up. Here are three players on the Los Angeles Lakers that could retire after this season.
