The Los Angeles Lakers‘ season is entering its latter stages and for many that end brings some relief as this season has been extremely frustrating for anyone who supports the purple and gold. LA has eight more games in the regular season with a very real chance of missing the play-in altogether.
If the Lakers make the play-in then they would have to win two do-or-die games in a row just to get the chance to play the Phoenix Suns as the eighth seed. While LeBron James and Anthony Davis are not a fun first-round matchup, it would be extremely unlikely that the Lakers get past the Suns.
Heck, it is extremely unlikely that the Lakers even make the playoffs.
This offseason is going to be an important one for the franchise as it looks to right its wrongs and somehow capitalizes on an ever-shrinking championship window with LeBron James. While it will be quite some time between the Lakers’ season ending and the offseason starting, the team should not wait to make certain decisions.
There are three things the Los Angeles Lakers should do as soon as the season ends.
