5 players who just played their last game with the Los Angeles Lakers
By Jason Reed
The Los Angeles Lakers season, thankfully, has officially come to an end. The purple and gold finished with a 33-49 record in what is one of the most disappointing seasons not just in franchise history, but in league history.
The Lakers were the favorites to win the NBA Championship out of the Western Conference before the season and could not even make the play-in game, which was invented to keep bad teams from trying to tank. Without the play-in, the Lakers’ season would have ended a month ago (although the expectations for the team ended long before that).
The front office is going to work hard this summer to give the team a face-lift and add talent to a team that is still trying to win a title with LeBron James. For the fourth season in a row, the Lakers will enter the 2022-23 season with a completely revamped roster. Hopefully this time it is better than the last two.
With this in mind, it is clear that five Los Angeles Lakers just played their last game in LA.
The Los Angeles Lakers have a lot of expiring players and a good portion of them most likely played their last game with the team. There are two notable players, however, who did not make this list.
The first is Trevor Ariza, who was already released by the Lakers. The other is Russell Westbrook, as there is far from a 100% chance that he will leave the team this summer. In fact, you can check out the percentage chance we gave Westbrook of leaving in this article.
