The Los Angeles Lakers are coming off of one of the most disappointing seasons in franchise history as the NBA treks on into the postseason without LeBron James and Anthony Davis. This was not how the 2021-22 season was meant to go and the only word to describe the season is disaster.

Now the Lakers enter the summer with a big task ahead. Rob Pelinka and co. are tasked with turning this team around and somehow going from the most disappointing season in franchise history into being a title contender once more.

It would be one thing if the Lakers were in a rebuilding phase and had assets to build with. That is not the case. Los Angeles is stuck doing whatever it can to capitalize on the ever-shrinking title window with LeBron James, which could continue to hurt the future of the team.

Regardless of which direction the Los Angeles Lakers take, there are MUST-DO moves this offseason.

There are a lot of moving parts this summer and it will be interesting to see how the team approaches fixing this huge problem. When it boils down to it, there are several moves that the Lakers should be making no matter what. Without these moves, the summer could be deemed another failure by the front office.

Let’s jump into it, starting with the most obvious move that the Lakers are going to try and make this offseason.
