The Los Angeles Lakers have an interesting offseason ahead of them and while trading Russell Westbrook is the main goal, there is a case to be made about both a LeBron James and Anthony Davis trade as well.

Anthony Davis has missed significant time in each of the last two seasons due to injury and big men with injury problems don’t typically get more durable as they approach their thirties. With that in mind and an ever-shrinking championship window, the Lakers could look to pivot off of Davis for more durable stars.

Los Angeles definitely is not shopping Davis around to teams this offseason and the notion of that is absurd. However, Rob Pelinka also probably isn’t shutting down any trade offers sent his way, and if he gets one that he likes then who knows what can happen.

As we learn every single year with the NBA, we can never predict what is going to happen next and chances are that we still end up being surprised.

The Chicago Bulls are an interesting destination for a potential Anthony Davis trade.

Anthony Davis, a Chicago native, has said himself that he definitely wants to play for the Bulls at some point in the future. This has naturally made a Lakers-Bulls trade for Davis a trending topic as we head into the offseason, especially with Chicago having a good nucleus that just lacks that one superstar.

So what would a potential Davis deal look like between the two sides? There is only one trade package that LA would entertain.

Zach LaVine is a free agent this offseason so this would be a sign-and-trade deal. If LaVine signs the max he will have a $42.4 million salary next season, making this one-for-one swap possible.

This is not the usual proposed trade package that you may have seen between the Lakers and Bulls. In the following pages, we will break down why the Lakers could say yes and the Bulls could say yes to this deal.
