The Los Angeles Lakers need to find a way to trade Russell Westbrook this offseason, that much is obvious for a team that was a complete failure this past season. Less obvious is the fact that in two consecutive seasons Anthony Davis has regressed as a shooter and been unable to stay on the court.

While it was thought that it would be Anthony Davis leading the Lakers when LeBron retires there is reason to doubt he is still the guy for the job. The Laker’s window to win another championship with LeBron appears to be quickly closing and that means all options should be on the table including trading Anthony Davis.

The Los Angeles Lakers could get serious star power in return for Anthony Davis.

Davis was a part of the problem for the Lakers last season and not a part of a solution. While it would be easy to throw all of the team’s problems on Westbrook those who watch the Lakers closely know Davis was also culpable.

He was unable to stay healthy and didn’t influence winning at the levels he has in the past even when he was able to stay on the court. If the right offer is given this offseason the Lakers should have no hesitation in moving Davis for another star player. Three potential fits, in particular, stand out for a team that must find ways to make blockbuster moves this offseason.
