The Los Angeles Lakers find themselves in a pickle this offseason yet there is still hope that the team can make a splashy move. Zach LaVine is an unrestricted free agent that is likely going to get the max and he can actually end up with the Lakers this offseason.

This is not a case of fans being way too optimistic and expecting someone to come to LA who is never actually going to come to LA. There is a legitimate foundation to LaVine coming to the Lakers, and while it might not be the most likely outcome, it certainly is possible.

It would be a big move and there certainly are doubters that do not think this is possible for the Lakers. However, when you really dive into it the situation, it is clear that LaVine could be wearing the purple and gold next season.

Here are three reasons why Zach LaVine joining the Lakers is actually possible:

1. Zach LaVine has leverage and seems to like the idea of playing for the Lakers

LaVine is an unrestricted free agent, giving the Chicago Bulls zero power in this situation. The NBA is a player’s league in which stars can essentially force where they want to go and LaVine absolutely could put pressure on Chicago to help get him to Los Angeles.

First of all, LaVine is a Klutch Sports client and we know the impact that Klutch has on the organization. Second of all, LaVine has been extremely complimentary of the Lakers. He recently told TMZ that he has “always been a big fan” of the Lakers.

There are seeds there. It could also be Klutch trying to make the Bulls get desperate and simply give him the max deal but it very well could be him trying to pull an Anthony Davis and force his way to LA.
