2. Elgin Baylor (10)

Elgin Baylor was selected by the Minneapolis Lakers as the No.1 pick in the 1958 draft. He was credited as saving the Lakers who finished the 1957-58 season with a 19-53 record.

Baylor led Los Angeles to the playoffs his first season, averaging 24.9 points, 15 rebounds, and 4.1 assists. He picked up numerous accolades throughout his career.

The Lakers went to the NBA finals seven times with Baylor leading the way. But they fell short, losing six times to the Boston Celtics and once to the New York Knicks.

Despite not winning a championship, Baylor still received numerous accolades while playing for the Lakers, which include NBA Rookie of the Year, 11 All-Star selections, one All-star MVP, and 10 All-NBA First-team selections.

As a Laker, Baylor averaged 27.4 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists. He was known for his athleticism, his trick shots, and the moves he could do in mid-air. Baylor was one of the reasons why attending a Lakers game back then was a must.

He was the blueprint for so many stars that came after him and being selected to the All-NBA First-team 10 times further proves how great of a player he was.
