As a player that plays with unlimited energy and passion, how does Kenneth Faried train to warrant the nickname “The Manimal”?

Lake Show Life’s take:

The Los Angeles Lakers had a ton of issues last season and injuries were at the top of the list. But let’s take a close look at that. There were issues with some players not coming into camp in the best of shape for a long season. Even though Anthony Davis was lost to a knee injury that was far from his fault, it didn’t stop Magic Johnson from criticizing AD’s workout regiment on ESPN…

"“AD, you gotta change whatever it is,” Johnson stated. “You gotta stay healthy. Or the Lakers gotta say, after next season, if you don’t stay healthy, they gotta look at you and say, ‘Maybe you should be somewhere else.’ Because they need you on the court, not in your clothes sitting on the bench. So I think he’s gotta change some things.”"

The Lakers could change some things by surrounding Anthony Davis with physical players that are willing to play with energy every night. During the championship season, AD was surrounded by players that made it difficult to score as well as tearing the rim down like Dwight Howard (The second time folks!), JaVale McGee, Kyle Kuzma coming from the wing and LeBron from the weak side.

Bottom line is the Lakers need a player that can make an impact WITHOUT a play being called for him…

Physicality is shown throughout these highlights as you can see. Lake Show Life asked Kenneth Faried to break down the different styles of play when it comes to overseas and the NBA. Hit the purple bar on read on to hear his take!
