The Los Angeles Lakers schedule for the 2022-23 season has officially been released and there are a lot of takeaways for the purple and gold. While it is a given that the Lakers are going to play every other team in the NBA next season, it is interesting to see how the schedule is constructed.

Despite the team struggling last season, the Lakers are still a massive money-maker for the NBA and are going to play in plenty of primetime games next season. But which of those games are the most notable?

While some Lakers fans can catch every single game, other fans need a heads up on what games they can miss and what games they should make appointment viewing. There are several this year.

Here are the most notable games to circle on the Los Angeles Lakers schedule, in chronological order:

November 13: Brooklyn Nets at Los Angeles Lakers

This game is completely up in the air as it stands today and either way it is going to be an extremely compelling game to watch. If the Brooklyn Nets end up finding a Kevin Durant trade partner then they will trade Kyrie Irving to the Lakers, which makes this Irving’s first game against his former team.

If the Nets do not pull off a trade for either star then this will be an interesting game between two teams were embroiled in trade talks. Then there is also the KD vs. Westbrook dynamic, which still plays this long after Durant split from OKC.

This game could be a blowout for the Lakers, a blowout for the Nets or a super competitive game and it all depends on what happens in the coming weeks before the season begins. Either way, it is going to be compelling.
