The Los Angeles Lakers do not have a team that is built to make a deep run in the NBA Playoffs next season. If Los Angeles is serious about contending there are going to have to be serious improvements that are made to the roster between now and October.

Perhaps the biggest logistical hole on the roster right now is three-point shooting. When LeBron James is your second-best three-point shooter you know that you are in trouble and that is exactly the situation that the Lake Show are currently in.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski did say that Rob Pelinka has been busy this August trying to make trades for both shooting and size. While the options are limited, there are options.

Here are 4 3-point shooters the Lakers can trade for before the season begins:

1. Bojan Bogdanovic

It is pretty clear that the Utah Jazz are undergoing a fire sale this offseason and it would be shocking is Bojan Bogdanovic was still on the team when opening night rolls around. While there are other players that LA may try and trade for, including another shooter in Jordan Clarkson, Bogdanovic may be more likely.

Bogdanovic is on an expiring contract and that naturally makes his value slightly less than a solid role player that is under contract for two years, like Clarkson. Plus, it would also allow the Lakers to remain financially flexible next summer and perhaps re-sign Bogdanovic for cheap.

There are two ways in which the Lakers could try and trade for Bogdanovic. He could either be included in a bigger three-team trade that the Lakers help facilitate that gets Donovan Mitchell to New York. Or, the Lakers could try packaging Talen Horton-Tucker and other assets for Bogdanovic.

Either way, the Lakers would be getting a great role player that has shot 39.2% from beyond the arc in his career while averaging 15 points per game.
