The Los Angeles Lakers have had a noisy offseason and yet haven’t made one high-impact move as of yet. They have been tied to Buddy Hield, Kyrie Irving, and even Kevin Durant at different points this off-season.

With the recent LeBron James extension news, it now seems all but certain the team will attempt to go all in acquiring Hield, Irving, or a surprise impact player in an attempt to optimize what is left of LeBron’s prime.

Moving on from Russell Westbrook is a must for the team to pull off any blockbuster move and give the team a chance of being a contender this season. For the Lakers, this is going to mean parting ways with their remaining first-round picks they are able to trade and going all in on winning right now.

For the Lakers to have their best chance at winning another title they need Kyrie Irving.

Kyrie Irving gives this team what they need to win another championship and takes them from a fringe playoff team to a clear favorite.

Irving has expressed regret about how he handled his exit the first time with LeBron in Cleveland. If the Nets trade him there is no better landing spot than with LeBron and a team that has plenty of reasons to believe they would win another championship if they added Kyrie.
