3. Jeremy Lamb

Jeremy Lamb is not a point guard and is not a perfect position for position replacement for Westbrook but that might not be what the Lakers need. Even if the team tells Westbrook to go home they will be fine with the point guard position in terms of minutes.

Beverley will get more playing time than he would with Westbrook in the rotation and there is still the likes of Kendrick Nunn and Austin Reaves to provide traditional one-guard minutes. Instead, the Lakers may attack the two-guard position, getting someone with length who can effectively be a wing for the team.

Los Angeles does not have many wings and while Lamb is not a traditional wing by the sense of the role, he is someone who could provide depth in that area while having the player mold to be successful in LA.

While he is coming off a bad season, at his best Lamb has a lot of potential as a three-and-D role player. Just the season prior he shot 40.6% on 3.6 threes per game while also playing serviceable defense.

Lamb is exactly the kind of role player that the Lakers should be looking to add and there are already ties there. Lamb was connected to the Lakers in trade rumors during the 2021-22 season before he was traded in the Domantas Sabonis deal.
