The Los Angeles Lakers may have planned to keep Russell Westbrook around for some time before eventually moving him but those plans might have been put into overdrive after a disastrous start.

The Lakers are 0-3 on the season with the team’s third loss directly coming at the hands of Westbrook. Things already feel like they are slipping away for this team and we are only three games into the season.

Westbrook’s trade market has not changed much from the offseason but Los Angeles may have more of an open mind on who to bring in. That could be the case with Charlotte’s Terry Rozier, as Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that Rozier emerged as a trade target over the summer and the team is still very high on him.

The Hornets may not be in any rush to trade Rozier after a 2-1 start but eventually, making a trade could make sense for the team. There is a perfect trade package that could help both sides in the long run, working both financially and logically.

This trade might be very exciting on the surface or it might not be exciting at all, depending on how you view Rozier. In the following pages, we will break down why the Los Angeles Lakers could say yes to this trade and why the Hornets could as well.
