The Los Angeles Lakers might not be in the playoff picture right now but they have shown promise this season. This has prompted the front office to look at realistic ways to improve the team, which likely will not include Russell Westbrook.

Instead, the Lakers have the duo of Patrick Beverley and Kendrick Nunn to build around. Neither player has played well this season and both are on expiring contracts. For that reason, they become tradeable assets for the Lakers, so long that they include a first-round pick with them.

One of the players that have been connected to the Lakers via trade is Kyle Kuzma. It has gotten to the point where Los Angeles has reportedly inquired about trading for Kuzma, who is having a career year in Washington this season.

Kuzma certainly sees the trade rumors and he made sure to take to Twitter to tease the Lakers fans who desperately want him back after mocking up trade packages around him for multiple years while he was on the team.

We see what you’re doing Kuz. You didn’t have to go out of your way and tweet this with all of the rumors that are going on. But alas, your subtle message is certainly getting across.

Kyle Kuzma is back in Los Angeles as the Wizards have a back-to-back against the two LA teams this weekend. The Wizards first play the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday before suiting up the next day to play the Lakers. This is not the first time that the Lakers have gotten to play a team directly after the Clippers as it has happened quite frequently this year.

It will be interesting to see what kind of reception Kuzma gets from Lakers fans in this game. Kuzma has always been a fan favorite and even without these trade rumors, he would have received a cheer from the LA fans.

Fans did not hide their intentions earlier this season when the Indiana Pacers came to town. Amid all of the rumors around Myles Turner and Buddy Hield, Lakers fans made sure to cheer for the duo during on-court introductions.

Fans are not only letting these potential trade targets know that they would be welcomed in Los Angeles, but they are also sending a message to Jeanie Buss and Rob Pelinka.

Kyle Kuzma certainly got his message across to the fans on Twitter, now it is time to see how the fans respond once Kuzma is in the building to play his former (and future?) team.
