Things are not great for the Los Angeles Lakers right now. Anthony Davis is going to miss at least a month with a foot injury and the team is already desperately missing him. Los Angeles has lost two games in a row by a combined 40 points.
While the Davis injury was the worst thing that could have happened to the Lakers, there is still a lot of Lakers news swirling around the league.
The trade market continues to heat up with big names getting attached to the Lakers. While things do not look great right now, all it takes is one big move for things to turn around.

- League executives told Sean Deveney of Heavy.com that they believe Zach LaVine is trying to force his way to Los Angeles. The current situation between LaVine and the Chicago Bulls could certainly lead to a trade.
- According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, Orlando Magic wing Terrence Ross has long garnered trade interest from the Los Angeles Lakers. Ross is averaging 8.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists this season. He is shooting 36.6% from three. Ross has an expiring contract worth $11.5 million this season.
- LaVar Ball told Pierce Simpson of Complex that he does not want LaMelo Ball to ever become a Laker. “I wanted Melo to be a Laker before that ship done sailed. You get rid of ‘Zo and you think I’m going to come back? I’m not that type of foolish guy.”
- According to TMZ, Lakers owner Jeanie Buss is now engaged to actor and comedian Jay Mohr.
- LeBron James commented on the Lakers’ roster following the team’s loss to the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. James cited the team’s lack of size and length, which has every Lakers fan pounding their keyboard after begging all summer to add size and length.
