The Los Angeles Lakers received some amazing news on Wednesday, as star Anthony Davis is set to return from a stress injury in his right foot against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday.
L.A. Lakers star big man Anthony Davis will return to the lineup Wednesday vs. SAS, barring any setback during his pregame warmup, league sources told ESPN. He will be back in the lineup 5 1/2 weeks after suffering a fractured bone spur and stress reaction in his right foot

This is a huge addition for the Lakers, who are still very much in the playoff/play-in mix in the tight Western Conference. Los Angeles lost to the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night despite a monster game from LeBron James, but it has a great chance to bounce back tonight.
The Lakers host the San Antonio Spurs, one of the league’s worst teams, with Davis making his return.
LeBron’s status could be up in the air with this being the second night of a back-to-back, but he knows the Lakers can’t afford to lose this game, similar to a matchup earlier this month.
LeBron said he was extremely exhausted and sore today before suiting up for the 2nd night of a back-to-back. Says he could've easily sat out but knew the Lakers couldn't afford it.

Even though Davis may not play a full complement of minutes in this game, I think Los Angeles is the team to back in this matchup.
The Spurs are just 9-12 against the spread this season as road dogs, losing those games by an average margin of 11.1 points per game.
Los Angeles is in a tough spot on a back-to-back, but it should have a lot more offense with Davis back and Rui Hachimura potentially making his debut for the team.
Over their last 10 games, the Spurs rank 28th in the league in net rating while the Lakers clock in at No. 18. This Los Angeles team hasn’t been great this season, but the Lakers are 3-0 against the Spurs this season.
I’m comfortable laying the points here, especially if LeBron suits up in the back-to-back.
