The Los Angeles Lakers have been absolutely rolling since the NBA trade deadline, with an overall record of 8-4 since acquiring all of the new pieces. In the above picture, you get a glimpse into the chemistry that has been developing with this new team, and it really has been a sight for sore eyes. With so much talent and everyone appearing to be bought in, there is no denying that this team has become a threat for the remainder of the season.

While it is important to remain present and enjoy the rest of the season (especially if the squad can make a legitimate postseason push), it is also important that we keep an eye on the foreseeable future.

With the culture appearing to be shifting in a positive direction, the front office would be wise to make efforts to bring back as many core players from the current team as possible for next season. That sense of continuity could pay big dividends, and it appears that the players might already be on board with running it back next season:

We can already predict next year’s Lakers roster.

With fourteen games remaining on the regular season schedule, the players will do their best to build on their cohesion and prove to the front office that this group is worthy of another shot next year. Winning a title would be the best-case scenario, but simply earning a playoff spot would be big after infamously starting the season 2-10.

Rob Pelinka will have some decisions to make this offseason, but none that should be too difficult. Let’s take a look at what the 2023-2024 Lakers roster could resemble on Opening Night.
