The Los Angeles Lakers took care of business on Friday night by dominating the Memphis Grizzlies from the first whistle to the last to effectively end their season. Now the Lakers will move on to take on the winner of the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors in round two.
This win meant a little extra something for the Lake Show. Any playoff series win is going to be important but the Grizzlies made it personal. Dillon Brooks decided to run his mouth towards LeBron James and the Lakers and now he looks extremely foolish.
While LeBron typically takes the higher road and doesn’t give attention to middling role players who like to talk smack, he did not hold back on Brooks. LeBron fired a not-so-subtle shot at Brooks with his latest Instagram post that intentionally mentioned a Grizzly Bear.
For those who are unfamiliar, Brooks loves telling people that he “pokes bears”.
LeBron's latest Instagram post is 100% pointed toward Dillon Brooks, who "pokes bears". pic.twitter.com/i6XohEpVx9

LeBron James roasts Dillon Brooks after Lakers’ blowout win in Game 6.
It does not take a rocket scientist to see what LeBron James is doing here. LeBron is not going to give Brooks the clout of mentioning him on his Instagram but it is very clear that this is a pointed message.
This was not enough for LeBron, though. LeBron also took to Twitter on Saturday night and posted the lyrics to the Jay-Z song, ‘Trouble’. LeBron loves himself some Jay-Z and this is 100% another not-so-subtle message shot right toward Brooks.
Unlike you little 🤬I'm a grown ass man
— LeBron James (@KingJames) April 29, 2023
Big shoes to fill 🤬, grown ass pants
Prolly hustled with your pops, go ask your parents
Its apparent you're staring at a legend
Who, put a few little 🤬in the they place before
Trying to eat without saying they grace before! 🤫👑
While the Lakers are moving on to compete for an NBA Championship, Brooks will be watching at home from his couch. Better yet, Brooks might have really ruined his free-agent market this offseason by talking smack to LeBron and then looking absolutely silly afterward.
The Warriors are smart enough to not poke the bear with LeBron as they have squared off against him countless times in the NBA Finals. If the Kings make it through, though, their fans better hope that nobody on the roster says anything foolish that can be used for ammunition.
