The Los Angeles Lakers love bringing in star power. No other team in the NBA has had as many superstars on its roster as the Lakers have had. Many of the greatest players to ever step foot on an NBA court have worn the purple and gold at one point or another.

Even if said player is no longer in his prime, the Lakers really do seem to value players with all-star pedigree. Heck, look at the former all-stars the team has signed in recent years such as Carmelo Anthony, Rajon Rondo and Dwight Howard.

There are similar players to those three on the market this offseason but there are also former all-stars with more to offer that the Lake Show can bring in.

3 former all-stars the Lakers can sign in free agency:

1. Kevin Love

Kevin Love was bought out by the Cleveland Cavaliers despite still having something to offer the team and at the end of the day, he got the last laugh. Love’s eighth-seeded Miami Heat went farther in the NBA Playoffs than the Cavaliers did as they were eliminated in the first round.

Love is past his prime and signing him would be similar to signing Carmelo or Howard but it would still add value to this team. The Lakers need to add frontcourt depth and getting someone with Love’s experience next to LeBron James would be beneficial.

His role on the team would not be huge but he is adaptable, making him a great fit for this team. He is someone who the Lakers could realistically play next to Anthony Davis because of his floor-spacing ability. However, he is also someone who can handle the five while Davis is not on the court.
