5 LeBron James trades that would actually make sense for the Los Angeles Lakers: Atlanta Hawks

In terms of the talent the Los Angeles Lakers would be getting back, the package the Atlanta Hawks could put together would probably be one of the best on the market.

De’Andre Hunter would be the star of the show in this trade, as he’s shown some solid potential over the past few seasons. At just 25 years old, Hunter is a great two-way threat and still has room to grow.

John Collins has been thrown in trade rumors for a few seasons now, as it seems as though his role in Atlanta continues to get smaller in smaller. His shooting and athleticism could make him a nice piece for the Lakers.

Lastly, AJ Griffin just wrapped up a nice rookie season in which he showed some potential on both sides of the ball. At just 19 years old, he would be an awesome piece in LA.

Atlanta doesn’t have many firsts to offer the Lakers, but they can dig deep into their pool of assets and send one first and one swap.

As for the Hawks, they would be pairing Trae Young and Dejounte Murray with LeBron James in hopes of breaking out into an Eastern Conference powerhouse.

They’d be giving up some depth, but they would still have enough guys to roll out and field a competitive bench unit, making this deal worth a look.

Potential starting lineups:

Lakers: D’Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, De’Andre Hunter, John Collins, Anthony Davis

Hawks: Trae Young, Dejounte Murray, Saddiq Bey, LeBron James, Clint Capela
