Lakers schedule predictions, December:

December 2 vs Houston Rockets: WIN

The third time will not be the charm for the Houston Rockets, who will fall again to the Lakers in LA.

Not-yet schedule In-Season Tournament games: 1-1

There is a 10-day gap between scheduled regular-season games and no matter what happens in the group stage of the In-Season Tournament, the Lakers will have two games that count toward the regular season.

We don’t yet know the opponents and to be safe, we are going to assume that the Lakers win one of these games and lose one of these games.

December 12 at Dallas Mavericks: WIN

The Lakers get their revenge against the Mavericks in Dallas. There is nothing wrong with losing to Luka Doncic as long as you can get it back later.

December 13 at San Antonio Spurs: WIN

This feels like a back-to-back where LeBron James and Anthony Davis might play. It is the first time LeBron will square off against Victor Wembanyama and he will rise to the occasion and try to teach the No. 1 overall pick some lessons.

December 15 at San Antonio Spurs: LOSS

And this feels like the game where the Lakers rest their stars as it is the third game in four days, resulting in a loss.

December 18 vs New York Knicks: WIN

The New York Knicks are a talented basketball team and this should be a really entertaining matchup. It is just hard to see how the Knicks can slow down the offensive attack of the Lakers in this one.

December 20 at Chicago Bulls: WIN

The Bulls may already be in blow-it-up territory by the time this game is played. It is hard to pinpoint how good Chicago will be but either way, the Lakers should win this game.

December 21 at Minnesota Timberwolves: LOSS

Maybe this is Karl-Anthony Towns’ audition to be traded to the Lakers at the deadline. Minnesota is a talented team and once again, this feels like a scheduled off night for the Lakers.

December 23 at Oklahoma City Thunder: WIN

The Lakers get their revenge against the Thunder as the team looks to start a winning streak heading into 2024. But will the team be able to do that?

December 25 vs Boston Celtics: WIN

Christmas Day at home against the team’s biggest rival. Crypto.com Arena is going to be electric for this game and the Lakers will ride that energy to win the biggest regular-season game of the year.

December 28 vs Charlotte Hornets: WIN

C’mon now, it is the Charlotte Hornets. Do we really need to break this one down?

December 30 at Minnesota Timberwolves: WIN

This game is not the second leg of a back-to-back and thus the Timberwolves will fall short to the team they beat nine days prior.

December 31 at New Orleans Pelicans: WIN

There are definitely worse places to spend New Year’s Eve in than New Orleans. This could be a scheduled off-day for LeBron but Anthony Davis will play this game and dominate his former team before welcoming in the new year.

Record after December: 24-10
