The Los Angeles Lakers played Bronny James on four straight days, and the young guard saved his best for last. He had 26 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and one steal in 36.5 minutes of action for the South Bay Lakers on Saturday night. Bronny helped South Bay win twice and was in LA’s rotation in the last two games. That meant seeing action on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It is unheard of for a professional to play four games in four days, but Bronny just kept producing.

It was an elite finale for LeBron’s son. James scored 26 of just 12 field goal attempts and nailed six of his eight 3-point tries. The 21-year-old’s shooting woes are his biggest problem, but the doubters are quickly being silenced. He has shot 37.6 percent from long range over his last 20 G League games.

South Bay has won 15 straight games with Bronny and has the G League’s best record. James is one of many players dominating the developmental ranks for the purple and gold. The 21-year-old just keeps getting better.

Bronny James just pulled off his most impressive Lakers feat

South Bay’s last two wins were massive. The Skyforce was fighting to make the playoffs and needed the victories. Bronny going off on Saturday night led the Lakers to the win and immediately proved his dad right.

Head coach JJ Redick said this about Bronny after Wednesday’s victory over the Pacers, where James played 13.4 minutes and made a key bucket in the fourth quarter to thwart Indiana’s comeback attempt.

“I think the biggest thing with him is he’s got a lot of confidence right now. I know he didn’t make his three tonight, but he’s got a lot of confidence in his shot right now. He’s having a fantastic season with South Bay. He’s been arguably the best player for like the last three or four weeks in our stay-ready games every single time. He’s got a bounce to his step right now.”

The 21-year-old should be confident because he is playing the best basketball of his career. Fans want him in the rotation, but need to remember the second-round draft pick is still developing. His jumper, defense, and overall game have improved significantly since the 2024 draft. Bronny is clearly putting in the work and will keep getting better.

It is fair to say the 6’2 guard has dominated during the G League regular season. He averaged 15.6 points, 3.6 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in 28.9 minutes of action. Bronny shot 56.4 percent from the field and 45.6 percent on his 3-pointers over those 14 contests.

Bronny James keeps getting better, and Los Angeles Lakers fans should be excited. He won’t just be known as LeBron’s son for long. Bronny is making a name for himself and continues to improve.

Everyone is rooting for the fan favorite, even head coach JJ Redick. Do not be surprised to see Bronny grow into a nightly rotation piece. The 21-year-old just had a monster night and keeps getting better. Stay tuned to see what Bronny can pull off next.
