Ayo Dosunmu, Chicago Bulls

The Los Angeles Lakers have committed to a vision in which their defenders will be aggressive at the point of attack. Los Angeles is also looking to run an offense that emphasizes multiple entry points, with playmaking being a key element of each player's offensive role.

As the Chicago Bulls prepare for life after DeMar DeRozan, the Lakers should do what they can to acquire compelling guard Ayo Dosunmu.

Dosunmu, 24, finished the 2023-24 season averaging 12.2 points, 3.2 assists, 2.8 rebounds, 0.9 steals, and 1.6 three-point field goals per game on .501/.403/.810 shooting. He played just under 30 minutes per game, which likely emphasizes his value to the team.

That doesn't necessarily make him untouchable, however, and with a salary of just $7 million for the 2024-25 season, he could be the ultimate bargain acquisition.

Trading for Dosunmu would give the Lakers the two-way guard they're hoping to develop. He's already an excellent shooter, including a mark of 40.6 percent on catch-and-shoot 3s, and has all of the tools to be a tremendous defender.

Convincing the Bulls to part with Dosunmu could prove challenging, but if they're unable to trade Zach LaVine, they may be willing to entertain the conversation.
