Lonnie Walker IV, Unrestricted Free Agent
Former Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Lonnie Walker IV is one of the most intriguing names remaining on the open market. An explosive athlete coming off of perhaps the best shooting season of his career, Walker could return to Los Angeles in an attempt to rebuild his reputation.
Having already proven himself as a postseason performer with the Lakers, it'd be understandable for Rob Pelinka to go down this road once more.
Walker played for the Lakers in 2022-23 and produced a generally strong season. He averaged 11.7 points and 1.6 three-point field goals made, which translated to 18.2 points and 2.5 three-point field goals made per 36 minutes, on .448/.365/.858 shooting.
Walker took his game to another level in the playoffs, scoring at least 12 points in three out of four games to help close out the Golden State Warriors.
Walker took a step back in his production this past season, but playing time seemed to factor stronger than anything else. He averaged 9.7 points and 1.8 three-point field goals made in just 17.4 minutes per game, which translates to 20.1 points and 3.7 three-point field goals made per 36 minutes.
Throw in the fact that Walker shot 38.4 percent from distance and he could be a valuable addition to a team that needs perimeter depth.
