Eric Gordon

Eric Gordon is a former client of Rob Pelinka and a potential free agent with a player option worth $3,356,271. That figure makes Gordon's player option a simple question of if he wants to remain with the Phoenix Suns or explore other options.

In the event that Gordon opts to enter free agency, the 35-year-old will be an interesting player for the Los Angeles Lakers to keep an eye on.

Gordon continues to be productive, with averages of 11.0 points and 27.8 minutes per game in 2023-24. It marked the 16th consecutive season in which Gordon averaged double-figure scoring marks.

Widely regarded a sharpshooter, Gordon could help the Lakers space the floor as a key reserve during the 2023-24 regular season at a more than affordable cost.

Adding a 35-year-old perimeter player would be risky, of course, as few players are active until that age, let alone beyond it. Gordon was draining threes in playoff games as recently as this season, however, and the minimum being spent on a player of his caliber would be understandable.

If the Lakers, which ranked 24th in three-point field goals made this past season, were to sign Gordon at the lowest of prices, Pelinka's connection would certainly play a key role.
