2. Anthony Davis, Team USA

Team USA boasts the most star-studded roster at the 2024 Summer Olympics. A case can be made that no one has been consistently better than Anthony Davis in the games leading up to the event, with the All-NBA and All-Defense honoree thriving on both ends of the floor.

The Los Angeles Lakers have officially passed the baton from LeBron James to Davis as the franchise player, and the Olympics will be a phenomenal opportunity to set a winning pace.

Davis kicked the USA Basketball Showcase off by tallying 10 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, four blocks, and two steals in just 19 minutes against Canada. The next time out, he put the team on his back with 17 points, 12 rebounds, two blocks, and a steal in a 98-92 win over Australia.

Davis also blocked six shots against Nikola Jokic and Serbia, tallied 15 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks against South Sudan, and had 10 points and seven boards in 14 minutes against Germany.

From game to game, no Team USA player has been more consistently important to the squad's success than Davis. Once the Olympics begin, that degree of significance will increase as the competition grows fiercer and Davis is tasked with anchoring the defense with a medal on the line.

The only player selected to both the All-NBA and All-Defense teams in 2023-24, Davis is picking up where he left off with yet another display of elite two-way value for Team USA.
