6. LeBron James, Team USA

LeBron James isn't just defying Father Time as an NBA player, but as the closer for a stacked Team USA squad. The two-time Olympic gold medalist was spectacular in exhibition action, and there's zero reason to believe that he will slow down in Paris.

One of the current franchise players for the Los Angeles Lakers, James is working alongside Anthony Davis in pursuit of yet another championship run.

James played well throughout the USA Basketball Showcase, but took his game to an entirely different level against South Sudan. He took over, recording 25 points, seven assists, and six rebounds on 10-of-14 shooting from the field and a 2-of-3 mark from beyond the arc.

James then tallied 20 points, six rebounds, and four assists in just 18 minutes during the Americans' 92-88 victory over Germany in the Showcase finale.

James will now head to Paris in hopes of winning a third career Olympic gold medal. If Team USA wins, then only Kevin Durant will have more gold medals than James among men's basketball players—yet another extraordinary potential feat from one of the greatest to ever do it.

All eyes will be on James and the Americans in Paris, and his performances as the USA Basketball Showcase suggest he's as ready as ever to take over.
