Best NBA prop bets today for Hawks vs. Lakers (LeBron James is a must-bet during hot stretch)

The Los Angeles Lakers need a bounce-back win on Monday night against the Atlanta Hawks, who shockingly upset the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday night. 

The Lakers are optimistic they’ll get Anthony Davis (eye, questionable) back in action tonight after he was lifted early from the team’s loss to Golden State on Saturday.

Here are three plays to consider for this Hawks-Lakers meeting:

• Dejounte Murray OVER 3.5 3-pointers made
• Austin Reaves OVER 26.5 points, rebounds and assists

LeBron James OVER 42.5 points, rebounds and assists

Lakers superstar LeBron James is doing all it takes to win as of late, averaging 28.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 9.5 assists per game since the All-Star break (10 games). LeBron has cleared 42.5 points, rebounds and assists in seven of those 10 meetings.

Earlier this season, James had 20 points, nine rebounds and eight dimes against Atlanta, but he didn’t have a great shooting game in that matchup. 

With Davis banged up, I expect James to find another gear – as he’s done since the break – to keep the Lakers in this one. 

Dejounte Murray OVER 3.5 3-pointers made

This is a great matchup for Hawks guard Dejounte Murray, as the Lakers allow the third most made 3s per game. 

Murray has been taking the 3-ball at an insanely high rate, attempting 10 or more 3s in five straight games. He’s cleared 3.5 made treys in each of those matchups. 

Since March 5 (seven games), Murray has cleared this prop six times, shooting 42.5 percent from 3. I expect him to take advantage of a favorable matchup tonight. 

Austin Reaves OVER 26.5 points, rebounds and assists

I don’t mind a wager on Austin Reaves, who could pick up some scoring slack if Davis isn’t his usual self – or if he sits – on Monday. 

Reaves has cleared 26.5 points, rebounds and assists in five of his seven games this month, averaging 18.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game (29.1 PRA). 

Earlier this season, he dropped 28 points on 19 shots against Atlnata, dishing out six assists in that matchup as well. 

This prop is simply asking Reaves to play around his season averages (15.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 5.5 assists), and I think he can, especially if Davis is at less than 100 percent.
