The Lakers look to improve its standing int he Western Conference postseason picture with a win on the road against the Golden State Warriors.

These are two recent Western Conference champions, but both are falling way short of lofty standards, which one can pick up a marquee win in front of a National Television audience? The Lakers will look to use its size down low with Anthony Davis to outduel the three-point prowess of the Warriors.

Lakers vs. Warriors Key Players to Watch

Lakers

LeBron James: James is on the injury report for Saturday night's matchup, but he's likely going to play on Saturday night in a spot he relishes, against Stephen Curry. James averages nearly 30 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in matchups against Curry over the last three years and he should continue to stuff the stat sheet.

Warriors

Stephen Curry: Curry has been trying to lift what appears to be the weakest Warriors group in some time, but he's starting to fall off. Sure the counting stats are still high, averaging nearly 27 points per game, but he is shooting below 45% on the year and hias assist mark is below five. Can he get going against a Lakers defense that has been vulnerable from beyond the arc?

Lakers vs. Warriors Prediction and Pick

The Warriors have struggled as favorites all season, and a lot of it has to do with the team's lackluster defense, 24th in points allowed per 100 possessions. This can be an issue against a Lakers team that is top third of the league in terms of pace and wants to play in the open court around James.

Now, the Warriors may have a favorable setup against the Lakers defense that allows the fifth highest three-point mark per game this season, but this Warriors team is coming back to Earth from beyond the arc, 10th in three-point percentage.

The team is lacking weapons around Curry to generate open looks and the team is being run off the three-point line more, thus taking far less efficient shots.

There's a reason Golden State continues to fail bettors as favorites, and I'll take the Lakers to cover as small underdogs. The offense should be able to take advantage of the team's lackluster defense, even with Draymond Green back in the fold, given the size advantage underneath.
