14. JaVale McGee
The Lakers won the championship in 2020 inside the bubble with JaVale McGee as their starting center next to Anthony Davis. He opened all 68 of his regular season games where the big man averaged 6.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks in 16.6 minutes per game. McGee began the playoffs in that role, but his minutes decreased as the Lakers made a deep run.
It was his second season playing next to LeBron. They both arrived in the 2018 offseason, and McGee has not been shy about sharing his enjoyment of teaming with the GOAT. The seven-footer had arguably the best season of his 16-year career with James and the Lakers. McGee may try to reunite with both this summer.
The 36-year-old is nearing the end of his career. He was on the fringes of the rotation in Dallas and Sacramento the last two seasons. McGee may be best served as a third center at this stage, but his three rings and experience playing with LeBron and Stephen Curry brings value to any organization. He knows how to win and make an impact on both ends of the floor.
The Los Angeles Lakers will be searching for big man depth this summer, so do not rule out a JaVale McGee reunion if the veteran decides to return for a 17th NBA season.
