Lake Show Life is a rapidly growing community that has called FanSided home since we first got our start in November 2008. There are opportunities here for passionate and motivated fans who would like a chance to write about and discuss their Los Angeles Lakers.

We’re offering a chance to aspiring writers to increase their exposure on one of the web’s fastest growing sports networks, while helping to further build a new foundation for this site and it’s future.

Opinion-driven content is key.

Bring your enthusiasm and knowledge for this team. Prior online writing experience isn’t essential – though it certainly helps – but we will want to see what you can do if you want on the team.

Expectations

Staff writers are typically asked to contribute a minimum of 1-2 posts per week. We’ll always welcome more frequent contributions, but we won’t require it.

For the most part what you discuss will be left to you. Have an idea how to improve the team’s defensive rebounding or want to see a lesser-known talent come up from the D-league? Maybe you’d rather discuss the team’s playoff chances or what Laker Nation will do without Kobe. There’s room for it all here on site.

We recognize that for most people this is primarily a hobby and something you’re doing for the love of it. That’s ultimately why we do it too. Most of us have families, full-time careers, and/or school to balance into our lives as well. We’re all just dedicated to the team and want folks like you to join us.

Applying is very easy. Head on over and complete an application. This will give you a chance to share some insight into your background and let us know why you’d be a fit on site. We’ll ask for a writing sample. If you don’t have prior experience, we’ll want to see you write something. Give it your best and we’ll be in touch from there.
